Foz do Iguaçu

Foz do Iguaçu, in the southern of Brazil in the state of Parana

Foz do Iguaçu is home to one of the world’s greatest natural wonders: the breathtaking Iguaçu Falls, a collection of 275 waterfalls crashing through lush rainforest along the Brazil–Argentina border. The Brazilian side offers sweeping panoramic views, while the Argentine side brings you right into the mist. Beyond the falls, you can explore the vibrant Bird Park, the massive Itaipu Dam, and the Three Borders Landmark, where Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay meet. It's a destination of awe, adventure, and unforgettable natural beauty. The waterfall system is the largest in the world, making it one of the 7 Wonders of Nature.

There are daily flights from São Paulo to Foz do Iguaçu International Airport (IGU) and the flight duration is about 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Note: There are a couple of details to consider if traveling to Foz do Iguaçu

Currency: There are currency changes between countries, so if you plan to move to different parts of the park consider that Brazil uses Brazilian Real and Argentina uses the Argentine Peso. It is helpful to bring cash since cards are not always accepted inside the parks.

Border Crossing: Keep your passport handy and check if you need a visa for entering Argentina.

Clothing: Comfortable shoes, sunscreen, insect repellent, hat, sunglasses, and a waterproof jacket are musts!
